In August of 2016 VTN-Agency has started shipping of Siemens power generating equipment from St.-Petersburg to the final consignee in the Russian Federation. Operations started after development of logistics pattern of delivery and completion of customs formalities. Earlier this year several lots of the equipment have been imported into the Russian Federation in view of their further consolidation and delivery to the destination point under established schedule.

Equipment shipped in August included large-sized and heavy-weight pieces.

In May of this year VTN-Agency provided customs clearance and transportation services to deliver the next set of production machinery to construction site of Bridgestone plant in Ulyanovsk. Logistics services have been done throughout the process of maintaining of supply technological equipment under Bridgestone investment project in Russia.

TransRussia 2016, international exhibition on freight, transportation and logistics, has taken place in Moscow from April 19 till April 22, 2016. The event was held for the 21th time.

TransRussia is the largest business event for transport and logistics services, technologies and machinery held in Russia.

List of participants includes transport companies, companies providing services for rail, sea, air and road logistics, manufacturers of warehouse equipment, warehouse owners, companies offering IT solutions for transport industry, suppliers of cargo carrying vehicles and companies providing related services (customs, insurance and consulting).

On April, 19-20, actually at the same time and at the same exhibition site, the Breakbulk Russia 2016 event has took place, the exhibition for project, over-sized and heavy-weighed cargoes.

VTN representatives visited both fairs - TransRussia 2016 and Breakbulk Russia 2016. During the events our people held a series of productive meeting with their colleagues from logistics industry, discussed some topics of common interest.

On April 20, 2016 the round table discussion entitled “Logistics Solutions made in Germany” was held in Moscow. The event was organized by Logistics Alliance Germany, the association including a number of the German logistics companies.

VTN representatives have been substantially involved in the round table event including active role in panel discussion on current issues of logistics industry. The round table participants paid much attention to development of Russian-German cooperation in logistics and transportation, further prospects for logistics industry.

ISO Conformity Certificate granted in September, 2015 to VTN-Agency by "Technoprogress" Expert Center was re-issued in January of this Year. The certificate confirms that the VTN-Agency quality management system complies with requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015 (ISO 9001:2015). VTN-Agency quality management system refers to customs representative services as well as to freight and forwarding services that company provides domestically and abroad to arrange for shipments of various export/ import goods. The re-issuance of the Certificate was due to some recent legal developments in the Russian current Legislation and due to the fact that the company changed its form of incorporation.

On December 1, 2015 Joint-stock company "VTN-Agency" got the License N 0152/01 issued by Federal Customs Services of the Russian Federation. By this document it was confirmed that VTN-Agency was included in the Register of customs representatives. The issuance of the new License was due to the fact that the company in accordance with the latest Russian legislation changed its form of incorporation from CJSC into JSC. On October, 21-22, 2015 the First international Forum «Day of the Russian logistics» took place in Hamburg.

Organizers of event - ‘Hermes’ Guild Nonprofit Partnership of professional participants of international business activity and customs formalities market, the Hamburg Port Authority and the Port of Hamburg Marketing.

German and Russian representatives of transport and logistics industry took part in the Forum including VTN representatives from Saint Petersburg and Hamburg. Mr. Alexander Kulikov (VTN-Agency) delivered the report «Customs clearance of technological equipment in framework of foreign investment projects into Russian Federation. VTN experience».

Forum’s participants and visitors, representatives of both Russian and German sides discussed the various urgent questions of development of transportation market between countries of the Northern Europe and Russia, prospects of logistics in current uneasy political and economic situation, questions concerning patterns of investment activity of the foreign companies in the Russian Federation.

On October, 2, 2015 representatives of VTN visited the 12-th international «ARMS and Hunting - 2015» exhibition, the largest hunting and guns show in Moscow. Leading Russian and foreign companies - manufacturers and distributors of the hunting and sporting guns and cartridges and equipment - have been taking part in the event.

Having specialized store premises for non-military and service weapon and in particular for hunting & sporting guns and cartridges, VTN has a wide experience in providing complex logistics services to companies which are engaged in manufacturing, distribution and in trade operations regarding such products.

Our experts, who visited an exhibition, conducted business negotiations with a number of exhibitors among which were our current clients as well as our potential partners.

On September, 17, 2015 Port of Hamburg welcomed guests to its annual reception in Saint Petersburg. The event was attended by number of officials including Dr. Heike Peitsch, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in St. Petersburg. About two hundred and fifty representatives of the port and transport industry from Hamburg and St. Petersburg including VTN people took part in the event. The reception was hosted by Mrs. Natalia Kapkajewa, Head of the Port of Hamburg Marketing Representative Office in St. Petersburg. Guests were addressed by Mr. Olaf Scholz, First Mayor of Hamburg, Mr. Ingo Egloff, Chief executive of the Port of Hamburg Marketing Executive Board, and by Mr. Evgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg City Administration. The event showed that participants representing business community of Germany and Russia were keen to further improve and develop mutual cooperation despite current political uncertainty

On July 29, 2015 our legal department staff took part in seminar on Latest Legal Developments in the Current Legislation of the Russian Federation. Our legal advisers have discussed last innovations in the legislation to take this into account in their work.

Seminars like that are in-house events held on a regular basis. Based on speakers’ reports and on free exchange of opinions participants have an opportunity to discuss the most important and interesting changes in the Russian laws.
