Hamburg Port annual Evening event hosted by Port of Hamburg Marketing was held in St. Petersburg at restaurant «Le Vernisage» in «Ambassador» hotel on September, 26, 2019.
Dr. Eltje Aderhold, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in St. Petersburg, Natalia Kapkajewa, Head of the Port of Hamburg Marketing Representative Office in St. Petersburg, Ingo Egloff, Chief executive of the Port of Hamburg Marketing Executive Board, Lutz Birke, Director of Port and Innovation of Hamburg Ministry of Economics and Transport, Arbi Abubakarov, Deputy Chairman of Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg government delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
For many years Hamburg and St. Petersburg have close economic and cultural ties. Twin cities are always aimed at constructive dialogue and teamwork. Hamburg and St. Petersburg are strengthening relationships in business and social fields as well as in cooperation between the sea ports of both cities.
Speakers noted the importance of further development of the German-Russian relations, including further expansion in international cargo transportation.
Reception was held in very cordial atmosphere.
